    Foundation Day Celebrations of NTR Memorial Trust in Hyderabad

    The NTR Memorial Trust celebrated its Foundation Day on Thursday to mark completion of 27 years. The CEO K Rajendra Kumar, IPS (retd), COO A Gopi, Telugu Desam politbureau member Bakkani Narsimhlu, and other state party leaders and trust employees attended the event. They released a brochure and cut a cake to commemorate the day.

    During his speech, the CEO highlighted the objectives of setting up the trust and praised party founder and former CM N T Rama Rao for his vision. He mentioned the various services provided by the trust in education, healthcare, disaster relief, NTR Sujala scheme, blood donation, and employment opportunities.

    Over the past 27 years, the trust has conducted 12,095 health camps, benefiting 19.74 lakh people through free service. They have also donated 81,361 units of blood to the poor, 19,956 units to Thalassemia victims, and 57,652 units to government hospitals for emergencies.

    The trust has set up an NTR model school in Challappalli, benefiting 1,672 orphaned students. They have also awarded scholarships worth Rs.3.44 crore to 4,255 meritorious students and provided education to over 1,670 students in colleges. Additionally, they have given scholarships to 50 selected meritorious female students and provided Rs.2 crore in scholarships to 275 girls since 2016. The trust has also established three skill development centers, training 7,345 young individuals and helping over 2,500 secure employment. They have also provided jobs to 4,000 unemployed individuals.

    The trust is now offering free health guidance through an app to address issues like overweight, diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure. They are expanding their Sanjivani free health centers to more locations including Araku, Paderu, Rampachodavaram, Saluru, Palakonda, Polavaram, Kurupam, and Pakala.
