Hyderabad: Former Armur MLA and BRS leader Jeevan Reddy went to the Mokila police station for questioning in a land grabbing case. The case involves 114 acres of land. Businessman Sama Damodhar Reddy filed a complaint, saying that Jeevan Reddy forced him to hand over property documents and made him sign blank papers by threatening him.

Earlier, the Telangana High Court rejected Jeevan Reddy’s request for anticipatory bail. The court said the serious claims against him needed a full investigation. However, his wife, Ashannagari Rajitha, and his mother, Ashannagari Raju Bai, were granted anticipatory bail in the same case.

The issue began with a 2016 agreement between Jeevan Reddy and Damodhar Reddy about a property exchange. Damodhar Reddy claims he kept his part of the deal, but Jeevan Reddy did not. Instead, he says Reddy used pressure and threats. Most recently, Damodhar said he was taken by force on March 15, 2024, and made to transfer property documents.

Besides the Mokila case, another complaint has been filed against Jeevan Reddy and his family in Chevella. In this case, they are accused of grabbing land in Earlapally village. The complainant said Reddy’s associates tore down a structure on 20 acres of land and started new construction without permission.

The Telangana High Court has refused to stop the investigations. Justice Laxmi Narayana Alishetty said the case should move forward through the regular legal process and be reviewed by a bench of judges.

With more legal troubles unfolding, updates in Jeevan Reddy’s legal matters are expected soon.
