    Independent Candidate Joins Congress, Withdraws from MLC Elections

    M Gangadhar, who was contesting as an independent candidate from the Graduate Constituency of Medak, Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Karimnagar districts, has joined the Congress party. He made this decision on Wednesday in the presence of IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu. Along with joining the party, he also announced that he would withdraw from the MLC elections.

    Gangadhar had recently resigned from his position as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). He arrived at the Secretariat, accompanied by senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao. At the event, Minister Sridhar Babu welcomed him into the party by draping a Congress scarf around him.

    The Minister encouraged Gangadhar to work towards ensuring a strong victory for the Congress party’s official candidate, Dr. V Narender Reddy. Several other leaders, including Ramagundam MLA Makkan Singh Raj Thakur and Manakondur MLA Dr. Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, were also present at the event.
