Minister for Forests Konda Surekha has told department officials to be more alert because there have been wildfires in different parts of the State recently. She wants them to watch out for things like people throwing cigarette butts or beedies on dry leaves, which could easily start a fire in the hot season.

Surekha had a meeting to talk about the fires that have been happening. She asked about the wildfires that hurt plants and animals in Amrabad, Kanwal, Tadwai, and Yellandu forests. She thinks that people might be causing the fires, so she wants officials to keep an eye on anyone going through the forests. She also checked the fire safety equipment with the department. She talked about the problem with Principal Chief Conservator of Forest RM Dobriyal over the phone.
