    The State government of Telangana has promoted five senior IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP).

    The officers who received the promotion are Kothakota Srinivas Reddy, B Shivadhar Reddy, Abhilasha Bisht, Soumya Mishra, and Shikha Goel. They will now hold the rank of DGP Level-16 according to the IPS (Pay) Rules of 2016.

    Despite their promotions, the officers will remain in their current posts. Kothakota Srinivas Reddy will continue as the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police. B Shivadhar Reddy will stay as the Director General of Intelligence.

    Abhilasha Bisht will remain the Director of RBVRR Telangana Police Academy. Soumya Mishra will continue as the Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services. Shikha Goel will retain her role as the Director General of the Crime Investigation Department. She will also continue to hold multiple roles including Director of Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, in charge Director of TG FSL, and continue to oversee Women Safety initiatives like SHE Teams and Bharosa in Hyderabad.
