A tragic fire accident took place in Motakondur, Yadadri-Bhongir district. A hardware shop and an adjoining house were destroyed in the incident.

The hardware shop was owned by Giri Boyina Malkayya, a resident of Giriboyina Gudem village. He had been running the shop in a rented building for the past ten years. Recently, he reopened the shop in a shed he built on his own land. On Saturday around 12 PM, a fire broke out in the shop, quickly spreading and burning all the materials inside. Local residents alerted the fire department, and a fire engine arrived to control the blaze.

In the process, the fire caused the wall of a nearby house, owned by Bhoomandla Buchchendar, to collapse. As a result, the furniture, kitchen items, cupboard, and air conditioner in the house were destroyed. The family also lost 27 tolas of gold and important land and house documents in the fire.

Malkayya, the shop owner, and his wife are devastated. They reported that goods worth Rs 50 lakhs were completely burnt in the shop.
