    On Friday, a tragic incident occurred at a construction site in Hasham Nagar, Langar Houz, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to two others. The victim was identified as G Kamaraju alias Kamaiah, a GHMC contract worker from Attapur in Rajendranagar. The injured were Appanna, also a GHMC contract worker from Attapur, and Mahmood Pasha, a trader and local politician from Hasham Nagar.

    According to the police, the incident took place around 7 am when the two GHMC workers were cleaning debris in the area as part of their work. The weakened compound wall of an adjacent site collapsed on them, which was put against it while digging up for the foundation.

    All three individuals suffered injuries and were immediately taken to a nearby private hospital. However, Kamaraju could not survive and passed away while undergoing treatment. The other two are being treated and their condition is said to be stable.

    Following a complaint, the Langar Houz police have booked a case against the site owner. It is essential to ensure that construction sites are safe for workers and passersby. Proper safety measures should be taken to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
