Farmers Urged to Enhance Cultivation Skills for Improved Quality and Yield

Dr. B. Neeraja Prabhakar, Vice Chancellor of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), urged farmers in Rangareddy to improve their cultivation skills to match international standards. She explained that growing vegetable crops at this level could lead to significant profits for farmers in the state.

Dr. Prabhakar made these remarks during a gathering held at the university campus after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SKLTSHU and Lemon Chilli Farm Hyderabad. The MoU was signed by University Director Y. Janardhan Rao and Ritish Velkuru from Lemon Chilli Farm.

She also discussed the university’s initiatives to elevate vegetable growing methods and standards to meet international benchmarks. These efforts aim to help farmers achieve promising profits in both Indian and international markets.

The purpose of the MoU is to provide technical guidance and support from the university to increase the yield and productivity of exotic vegetable crops. The Lemon Chilli Farm will cooperate in conducting a Horticulture Industrial Attachment Program for university students. This collaboration will ensure the production of high-quality vegetables.

Several university officials, including Dr. A. Bhagavan, Registrar and Director of Research, Dr. A. Kiran Kumar, Dean of Horticulture, Comptroller & Director of Extension, Dr. M. Rajasekhar, Dean of PG studies & Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Natarajan Senivasan, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. D. Vijaya, Dean of Student Affairs, SKLTSHU, were present at the event.
