    The State Government is planning to establish a Horticultural Research Centre in Kannaraopeta village, Warangal district, to help local farmers. The government decided to set up the research centre instead of a Chilli Research Station to give importance to chillies and seed spices research. The research centre will be under the Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticulture University.

    The identified 54 acres of land in Kannaraopet village will be used for the Horticultural Research Centre. Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy believes that the centre will greatly benefit farmers in the local and neighbouring districts. It will focus on finding new varieties of chilli and other seed spices. The presence of scientists at the centre will help farmers learn best practices in farming.

    Peddarapu Ramesh, AIKF State general secretary, expressed gratitude to the government for establishing the research centre. He emphasized the importance of adequate budget allocation and hiring scientists for the centre. The research centre is expected to enhance crop yields and promote crop diversification.
