In an instant and collective decision by the dressing room, the team decided to donate Rs 20 lakh towards relief and rehabilitation work for families affected by the unfortunate train accident in the state earlier this month. The Indian football team tweeted their gratitude to the government of Odisha for awarding them with a cash bonus for their win.

While nothing can compensate for the loss that people have faced, the team hopes that their donation will play its own little part in helping families cope and tide through these very tough times.
