Birla and Dhankar wished Khadar well and advised him to uphold the dignity of the house by following the traditions of Indian parliamentary democracy. Khadar promised to act fairly and without bias.

Despite a political career of over 30 years, Khadar has remained unbiased and dedicated to serving his constituency (Mangaluru city- formerly Ullal). This has resulted in an increase in his winning margin from 2018 to 2023, as Hindutva factors did not affect his constituency.
