    Tansen, a well-known restaurant in Hyderabad, is hosting a special Sri Lankan Food Festival. The event, curated by renowned Sri Lankan Chef Anura Lenora, offers guests a chance to experience authentic Sri Lankan flavors. The festival, which runs until March 17, 2025, is a celebration of spices and aromas from across the island nation.

    Tansen is famous for its fire-cooked dishes, rich flavors, and elegant ambiance. The restaurant shares a deep connection with Sri Lankan cuisine, which is known for its bold spices, slow-cooked meals, and fresh ingredients. Both traditions focus on earthy flavors, wood-fired cooking techniques, and slow-cooked gravies, making this festival a perfect blend of heritage and creativity.

    The festival features a specially designed menu with some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic dishes. Guests can enjoy dishes like Mulligatawny Soup, Kukul Mas Samage Elawalu Soup, Pol Roti Samage Sambol, Hattu Paetis, Pol Davatupu Isso, Kukul Mas Tattu, Elu Mas Tattu, Elavalu Katlet, Piravu Malu Miris, and Tora Malu Baedapu.

    Speaking about the event, Mr. Amar Ohri, Owner of Ohri’s Group, said that Tansen aims to bring global flavors to Hyderabad while maintaining authenticity. He expressed excitement about the collaboration with Chef Anura Lenora to introduce Sri Lankan cuisine to their guests.

    Mr. Neeraj Roy, General Manager of Tansen, highlighted that Sri Lankan food is a mix of spicy, tangy, and aromatic flavors. He emphasized that every dish has a story and that the festival provides a unique dining experience that transports guests to Sri Lanka.

    Executive Chef Gagandeep of Tansen praised the depth of Sri Lankan cuisine, noting its layers of spices, slow-cooked flavors, and coastal influences. He described the festival as a chance for Hyderabad to explore a cuisine that is both comforting and adventurous.

    Chef Anura Lenora expressed his excitement about bringing Sri Lankan food to Tansen. He described the cuisine as vibrant and soulful, with each dish reflecting the essence of Sri Lanka. He hopes that guests will enjoy this celebration of flavors.
