Nagar Kurnool: Excise STF and DTF police teams carried out joint raids in several areas of Nagar Kurnool district on Saturday. The raids were conducted in three villages – Tarnikal Tanda, JP Tanda, and Reddya Tanda – as well as in Kalwakurthy town.
The raids were led by the Hyderabad-based STF team, along with support from the Nagar Kurnool DTF team, Mahbubnagar AC Enforcement Team, and Kalwakurthy Excise Police. They targeted illegal liquor manufacturing sites in these locations.
During the operation, five cases were registered, and three people were arrested. In total, the police seized 23 liters of illicit liquor, 820 liters of jaggery solution, and 30 kilograms of alum, which is used in the production of illegal liquor.
Mahbubnagar Deputy Commissioners A. Srinivas Reddy and A. Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, along with STF Excise Superintendent Pradeep Rao, praised the excise police for their successful efforts in the crackdown.
