    Hyderabad: The State Excise Department has uncovered an illegal whisky ice cream operation in Hyderabad. Officials raided several ice cream parlours in the Jubilee Hills area and found ice creams that contained alcohol. Two people, identified as Dayakar Reddy and Shoban, were arrested, and cases have been filed against them.

    The racket was discovered when the Excise Department raided Ariko Cafe Ice Cream Parlour located on roads 1 and 5 in Jubilee Hills. During the raid, the team seized 23 pieces of whisky ice cream, weighing a total of 11.5 kilograms.

    Officials revealed that the ice cream parlour is run by Sharath Chandra Reddy. The parlour was allegedly mixing 60 ml of whisky into each kilogram of ice cream and selling it at a high price. In some cases, they were mixing 100 ml of whisky into just 60 grams of ice cream. Dayakar Reddy and Shoban were also promoting their whisky ice creams on Facebook to attract more customers.

    In addition, the excise team seized non-duty-paid liquor valued at Rs 3.85 lakh during a raid at RTC Cross Roads.
