    Nagar Kurnool: In the Kalwakurthi constituency of Nagar Kurnool district, the Excise Enforcement and Task Force Special Teams carried out raids against those involved in producing and transporting illegal liquor. Led by Excise Circle Inspector (CI) Sharada, the team seized 10 liters of illegal liquor, known as “natu sara,” from a person transporting it on a TVS Excel bike near Konetipuram in Vanguru mandal.

    In another raid, under the leadership of CI Venkat Reddy from the Kalwakurthi Excise Station, another individual was caught transporting 12 liters of illegal liquor from Kishtampally tanda. The authorities also seized a two-wheeler from the person.

    Additionally, the DTF SHOs (District Task Force Station House Officers) conducted raids in the villages of Thagur tanda, Ammapally tanda, and Ramireddipally. During these operations, they destroyed 400 liters of jaggery-based liquor and 10 liters of illicit liquor. Cases were filed against the offenders involved in these activities.

    In a joint operation, the Mahabubnagar Enforcement team and the Kalwakurthi Station team seized 600 kilograms of black jaggery and destroyed 300 liters of jaggery-based liquor. They also confiscated 20 liters of illegal liquor, leading to cases being registered against two individuals.

    Several officers were involved in these raids, including CIs Balakrishnareddy, Venkateswarareddy, and Sharada, as well as Sub-Inspectors (SIs) Srujan, Aruna, and other staff from the Excise Department.
