Karuna Gopal Vartakavi, the BJP National incharge for Women Policies and Research, stated that all 70 crore women in the country are like family to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She emphasized that PM Modi has introduced various schemes to empower women during a press conference at the BJP office in Hyderabad.
According to Karuna Gopal, PM Modi believes in women-led development for the progress of the nation. He has implemented schemes like Lakhpati Didi to help rural women become financially independent. Additionally, he has focused on providing different benefits to women of all ages, from children to the elderly.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, 11 crore toilets were built to ensure hygiene and dignity for women. He also distributed 10 crore LPG cylinders, opened Jan Dhan accounts predominantly in women’s names, and allocated 70% of low-cost housing to women. These initiatives have not only empowered women but also reduced domestic violence and improved the sex ratio in the country.
Karuna Gopal highlighted the success of PM Modi’s policies, such as the Lakhpati Didi scheme benefiting 3 crore women and the increasing number of women availing benefits under Ayushman Bharat. She also mentioned the ‘Drone Didi’ scheme aimed at providing technology to women in agriculture and the vision of transforming Self-Help Groups into unicorns worth Rs 7000 crore.
