    Manthani Crematorium in Poor Condition

Manthani, also known as Mantrapuri, is facing significant issues with its local crematorium. The crematorium’s current state reflects the shortcomings of previous administrations.

Residents are frustrated with the Manthani Municipality’s neglect of cleanliness. The poor conditions make it difficult for families to conduct last rites respectfully. Despite previous governments spending large sums on other projects, the crematorium remains in disrepair.

In other parts of the district, cemeteries have proper facilities like sheds and benches. However, on the banks of the Godavari River in Manthani, such amenities are absent.

Floods are often cited as a reason for the lack of maintenance. During the rainy season, if someone passes away, the last rites are performed in the rain, adding to the family’s distress.
