Errabelli Dayakar Rao, a senior BRS leader and former minister, revealed that the party is considering changing from BRS to TRS, but the final decision lies with party chief Chandrashekhar Rao.
Dayakar Rao explained that the party did not benefit from switching to BRS, as they had won elections twice under the TRS name but faced setbacks after the change. He also mentioned that many people were against the name change, which made it difficult to connect with the public. Party members have asked to go back to the TRS name, and the leadership is currently discussing this issue.
In addition, Dayakar Rao denied any involvement in the phone-tapping case, accusing the ruling Congress party of falsely plotting against him. He stated his willingness to face legal consequences if the Congress government pursued unfounded charges, but remained loyal to the BRS party.
Reflecting on his past encounters with police while advocating for farmers and facing imprisonment, Dayakar Rao believed that pressure on the Congress government to fulfill promises was leading to unjust legal actions against him and others.
