Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, responded strongly to A Revanth Reddy, the TPCC president, after he spoke at a rally in Palakurthi. Errabelli stated that Revanth, who was caught in the cash-for-vote case, was trying to blame him. He accused Revanth of deceiving political parties and selling party tickets while having control over the Congress. Errabelli also mentioned that Congress members themselves refer to Revanth as ‘Retentha Reddy’.

Errabelli highlighted Revanth’s past, stating that he started his career as a worker who put up advertisement bills. Back when they were both in Telugu Desam, Errabelli used to refer to Revanth as an “item song”. He went on to call Revanth a broker and joker. Errabelli also mentioned that his ancestors owned thousands of acres of land and that he has donated 250 acres to the Ram Chandra Mission.
