    The Minister for Panchayat Raj, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, criticized the Central government for neglecting the Medaram Sammakka Saralamma carnival, which is one of the largest tribal fairs in the world. He mentioned that the BJP-led Central government provides funds for the Kumbh Mela but ignores the Medaram carnival. Errabelli also highlighted that the State Government is investing significant amounts of money to renovate and develop temples.

    During the inauguration of a four-level endowments building in Rangampet, Errabelli praised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for reconstructing the Yadadri Temple and transforming Telangana into a spiritual state. He criticized the Centre for not recognizing the national status of the Medaram carnival. Several dignitaries, including Legislative Council chairman Banda Prakash and TS Planning Commission vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, were present at the event.

    In Mulugu, Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod participated in various developmental programs. They inaugurated the newly constructed agriculture department’s office complex and laid the foundation stone for additional classrooms at a Tribal Welfare Boys Residential School. The ministers also laid the foundation stones for a guest house complex and other buildings in Medaram, in preparation for the upcoming Sammakka Saralamma Jatara in February.

    Both ministers offered prayers to the tribal deities and provided silk robes as offerings. They also held a review meeting with officials to discuss the preparations for the Medaram carnival. The Mulugu District Collector, Ila Tripathi, and other officials were present at the meeting.
