The parliamentary elections in three Lok Sabha constituencies in Karimnagar district went smoothly, with voters lining up early to cast their votes. There were no major incidents reported, except for some issues with malfunctioning EVMs in a few polling stations. In one village, voting was temporarily halted due to EVM problems but resumed after the issue was fixed.
Candidates from different parties, including Congress, BJP, and BRS, cast their votes in various polling stations across the district. The administration took precautions to prevent any disturbances at critical polling stations. BJP’s parliamentary convener requested the Election Commission to stop Congress leaders from campaigning near polling stations while wearing party-related t-shirts.
The weather was pleasant, attracting a large number of voters, especially young people and women, to the polling booths. By the latest reports, voter turnout was around 55-70% in different assembly segments within Karimnagar and Peddapalli constituencies.
Overall, the elections in Karimnagar district were peaceful, and voters showed enthusiasm in exercising their democratic right to vote.
