The upcoming elections for the District Granite Industries Association will bring a change in leadership. President P Shankar shared this news during a recent meeting at the association’s premises in Elagandula Panchayat, Kothapalli mandal on Saturday.

Shanker announced that elections will be held within three months after appointing the Election Officer to elect a new executive committee according to the association’s bylaws.

During his ten-year tenure, Shanker mentioned the growth of granite factories in the district. The number of factories increased from 82 to 425 since he took office in 2014.
