HYDERABAD: In response to directives from the Election Commission of India (ECI), Telangana’s Chief Secretary, Santhi Kumari, has taken the step of reassigning key officials in the state. On Friday, District Collector Dr. B Gopi of Karimnagar and Commissioner of Police L Subbarayudu were transferred from their positions, citing concerns over their “inefficient and subpar performance” in upholding the model code of conduct mandated by the ECI.
