    Bhadrachalam:
Children from a remote tribal village in Dummugudem mandal now have access to education, thanks to the efforts of ITDA Bhadrachalam. The new Project Officer (PO), B Rahul, has made health and education in tribal areas a top priority.

In the past, children from the old Narayanaraopeta village had to miss out on school because the nearest tribal welfare department schools were far away. Around thirty boys and girls from the village could not attend school due to this issue. Concerned villagers brought this problem to the attention of the new PO, expressing their desire for better education opportunities for their children.

Seeing the villagers’ eagerness for their children’s education, Rahul approved a grant of Rs 4.5 lakh to build a school in the hamlet. The school, which has an iron sheet roof, has now opened for the children.

The ITDA PO also provided the students with necessary supplies like books, pens, and other stationery. He encouraged parents to start teaching the Koya language to their children at a young age. He stressed the importance of children learning about their language, culture, and traditions. For better learning, he advised parents to speak with their children in their native language at home.
