    The Supreme Court wants to know if the area surrounding Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam should be declared an eco-sensitive zone and all trespassers removed. Justices B R Gavai, Vikram Nath, and Sanjay Karol asked the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the state government to respond to the request. 

    This move comes after a plea was made to the court for the protection of the wildlife sanctuary.
