The Election Commission has given permission for the Telangana State Cabinet meeting to happen, but only urgent matters can be discussed before June 4. Important topics like the farmer loan waiver and common capital cannot be on the agenda. As a result, the Council of Ministers’ meeting that was supposed to take place on Saturday has been postponed.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and ministers arrived at the Secretariat for the meeting on Saturday, but they couldn’t start because the EC hadn’t given permission yet. The meeting was called off at 7 pm, and everyone left. The Chief Minister wanted to discuss issues related to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana’s 10th anniversary, as well as farmer loan waiver, grain procurement, kharif crop planning, and other important matters for farmers and the upcoming Telangana formation day on June 2.
However, due to the Election Commission’s restrictions, some topics will now go unaddressed.
