Hyderabad: Eatala Rajender, a BJP MLA, expressed his anger over Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy’s behavior during Telangana assembly meetings. According to Rajender, the recent meetings were conducted in a way that showed a lack of respect for the legislative process.
Rajender also criticized the discrimination faced by BJP MLAs, as they were not given a room in the Legislative Assembly. Instead, they had to sit in the gunmen’s room and write notes. This treatment, according to Rajender, is proof that Chief Minister KCR has lost faith in the legislature.
Furthermore, Rajender highlighted the decrease in the number of parties participating in the assembly meetings. Previously, there were 13 parties involved, but now there are only four. Despite BJP being in power at the national level, they are not called to the BAC (Business Advisory Committee), which reflects the lack of interest from the CM.
Rajender pointed out that assembly meetings used to last for 50 to 65 days in a year, but now they only last for 14 days. He expressed disappointment with the Speaker’s bias towards the CM and not giving equal time and attention to other members.
Rajender also criticized the lack of implementation of past guarantees such as unemployment benefits and farmer loan waivers. He emphasized that these promises have not been fulfilled yet.
