Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender took part in a membership registration drive in Mallapur, Uppal constituency, on Saturday.
Etala shared that the BJP has set a goal to register 50 lakh members across Telangana. In the Malkajgiri constituency alone, the party aims to register 5 lakh members from the 10 lakh votes it received in the elections. So far, 3 lakh people have already registered, making Malkajgiri a leader in the membership drive.
A meeting was held with the presidents of three districts in the constituency, where Etala encouraged them to finish the membership registration within the next 10 days. He gave instructions to ensure at least 100 members are registered at every polling booth. He urged residents of gated communities, apartments, and colonies, along with governing body members, to register with the same trust they showed by voting for him.
Etala also spoke about the possible increase in MLA seats in the constituency. He emphasized that the BJP has been proactive in addressing issues over the past five months, such as home demolitions and problems related to the Waqf Board. He mentioned that the party has stood against the demolition of homes and protected lands allocated for Dalits, helping to build trust within the community by responding to their concerns.
He further assured that the party is focused on resolving smaller issues like drainage, roads, and other local concerns. “With cooperation between the central government, state government, and GHMC, we can solve people’s problems and work towards the development of Telangana and Malkajgiri,” Etala said.
