Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender criticized the State government and Medchal-Malkajgiri district administration for demolishing houses in Parvathapuram village in Peerzadiguda Municipal Corporation early in the morning. He expressed his disapproval at a press conference, warning local officials for their actions against residents of three residential colonies.

According to Rajender, a Salar Jung Kancha land of 350 acres was sold to multiple people 40 years ago. Many residents had purchased land in Saipriya Enclave decades ago with permissions from various government authorities. However, the recent demolitions carried out by the Congress government were likened to similar actions taken under former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s administration, despite no previous enforcement since 1985.

Rajender criticized the heavy police presence during the demolitions, stating that government officials were unresponsive to inquiries about the situation. He accused certain individuals of trying to intimidate residents due to rising land prices in the area. Rajender demanded accountability and a thorough investigation into the officials responsible for the demolitions.

He also mentioned that the previous BRS government had issued a regulation to regularize housing, which was not properly implemented. Rajender questioned the sincerity of the Congress government in addressing the concerns of the people, emphasizing the need for an apology to those affected by the demolitions.
