Hyderabad:
Malkajgiri MP, Eatala Rajender, criticized the government on Tuesday, accusing it of labeling those who question attacks on temples as anti-social elements and religious fanatics. He expressed his concerns during a media address.
Eatala pointed out that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the government have failed to protect the self-respect and religious beliefs of Hindus. According to him, CM Reddy’s focus is primarily on gaining approval from the MIM (Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) party and securing votes through political strategies.
He condemned the recent arrests of BJP leaders and activists. Eatala demanded the government release those arrested and withdraw the cases against them. He claimed that the police have been visiting the homes of BJP leaders, harassing them, and violating their rights. He further accused the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) government of undermining democracy by attempting to silence the opposition through house arrests.
The MP also accused the Congress party of trying to paint those who question temple attacks as fanatics and miscreants. He alleged that the Chief Minister harbors hatred towards Hindus and Hindu organizations and has not taken action against those spreading religious hatred.
Eatala further stated that the government has been providing shelter to fanatics and allowing them to operate without control. He highlighted incidents of bomb attacks in Telangana during the Congress rule, claiming that hundreds were killed due to communal violence. He praised the Modi government for taking strong action against terrorists and protecting innocent people.
He criticized the government for failing to arrest individuals responsible for creating communal strife while targeting BJP leaders with serious charges, such as murder. Eatala also warned that Telangana has become a potential target for terrorists, with sleeper cells operating in the state. He pointed out that despite warnings from Central agencies, the government has not taken action to stop illegal migration of Rohingyas.
In conclusion, Eatala demanded that the government take action against those spreading hatred and stop conspiracies by anti-social forces in Telangana.
