Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that Kothagudem will have an IT hub. He mentioned that discussions will be held with the SCCL administration to allocate space for this project. The foundation stone for a drinking water supply improvement scheme was laid by Bhatti along with Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
The government is planning a Supercritical Thermal Power Project in Ramagundam, as stated by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu. Bhatti mentioned the importance of establishing an IT hub in Kothagudem to develop it as a Tier-II city and assured that a decision on this project will be made soon. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to waiving crop loans by the end of August and credited Rs 7,500 crores to farmers’ accounts in support of Rythu Bandhu.
The possibility of creating a municipal corporation by merging Kothagudem and Paloncha towns will be examined, with plans to present the issue to the State Cabinet. Bhatti also promised to complete the unfinished bypass route in Kothagudem. The land acquisition phase for the bypass road construction has been completed, and funding has been approved for an overpass as part of the project by Minister Komatireddy.
Overall, the government aims to develop Kothagudem by establishing an IT hub, supporting farmers with loan waivers, and improving infrastructure like the bypass road. Discussions and decisions on these projects are underway to enhance the town’s growth and development.
