    Ahead of the Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals, schools in the state have declared holidays starting from Friday. The schools will reopen on the 26th of this month. Today, schools and colleges held celebrations with students wearing traditional attire and Batukammas.

    The girls danced to Bathukamma songs, creating a festive atmosphere. Students living in government hostels have returned to their hometowns, causing crowded RTC buses.

    The SA-1 exams for students in classes 1 to 10 ended on Wednesday. The results will be announced after the holidays.

    The education department has also instructed that the marks for the formative assessment-1 and 2 exams must be recorded in Child Info before Thursday. Junior colleges will also have holidays from the 19th to the 25th of this month.
