Rohit Sharma now holds the record for the most ducks in IPL history with 16. He achieved this milestone during the CSK vs MI match on Saturday when he was dismissed by Deepak Chahar. The incident occurred on the fifth ball of the third over when MS Dhoni came up to the stumps against Chahar and Rohit attempted a lap shot, but the ball hit the edge of the bat’s shoulder and went to Ravindra Jadeja for an easy catch at gully. Rohit was out for a three-ball duck.

MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first, while Mumbai Indians made two changes, bringing in Raghav Goyal and Tristan Stubbs. Interestingly, Rohit did not come out to open and instead sent Cameron Green with Ishan Kishan. However, both openers were dismissed cheaply. CSK played an unchanged side.

The Mumbai Indians captain surpassed Sunil Narine, Mandeep Singh, and Dinesh Karthik, who have all been dismissed 15 times for zero in the league. Rohit’s 16 ducks are now the most by any player in IPL history.
