Dr. Rao's ENT Hospital Hosts India's First Advanced Cochlear Implant Conference
Hyderabad, India – In a major step forward for hearing healthcare, Dr. Rao’s ENT Hospital, in partnership with Advanced Bionics, has launched the first-ever Asia Pacific Advanced Cochlear Implant Conference. This event includes India’s first specialized Temporal Bone Workshop, offering advanced training to medical professionals.
The conference is led by Dr. Shree Rao, Director of Rao’s ENT Hospitals, a well-known cochlear implant surgeon who has successfully performed over 200 such surgeries. The event features top international experts, including Padma Shri awardee Dr. Milind Kirtane from India, Dr. Shujiro Minami from Japan, and Associate Professor Payal Mukherjee from Australia. Dr. Kirtane has been a pioneer in cochlear implant surgeries in India and has trained 45 surgeons through his fellowship program.
Participants will receive hands-on training using temporal bones and 3D-printed models. The program also includes live surgeries, discussions on complex cases, and training on the latest cochlear implant technology from Advanced Bionics. This approach ensures that attendees gain valuable experience under the guidance of some of the best experts in the field.
