Hyderabad: The national president of BJP OBC Morcha and MP, Dr. K Laxman, stated that President Draupathi Murmu’s speech during the joint session of Parliament highlighted the progress made by the Modi government, regardless of political differences. He criticized the opposition and Congress for distorting and criticizing the speech.
Laxman praised the budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it inclusive and creative. He emphasized that it prioritizes the well-being of people from all walks of life. Sitharaman announced plans to build 4.10 crore houses for 4.10 crore people through the PM Awas Yojana, with an additional two crore houses for the poor. Laxman highlighted Modi’s commitment to good governance, focusing on youth power, women, farmers, and the poor, without considering caste and race.
The MP believes that the budget will empower the poor, youth, women, and breadwinners, who are essential for a prosperous India. Telangana will receive an allocation of Rs. 5,071 crore out of the Rs. 2.55 lakh crore budget for railways. Laxman commended the budget for increasing the beneficiaries under the ‘Lakpati Didi’ scheme, which aims to empower women. He also highlighted the allocation of Rs. 1.27 lakh crore to the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, stating that it is beneficial for farmers.
Laxman criticized both the BRS and Congress parties, stating that they are two sides of the same coin. He believes that the BRS has no political future in Telangana and accused the Congress of deceiving people with false promises. Laxman questioned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for not addressing corruption allegations against the BRS in various projects.
The MP asserted that the BJP will focus on winning more than 10 MP seats and increasing its vote share by 35% in Telangana. He also mentioned that the INDIA alliance is struggling to determine its PM candidate, but regardless of their efforts, the BJP and Modi will come back to power. Laxman expressed his support for granting the Bharat Ratna to former Deputy PM LK Advani for his commitment to the country’s security and values.
