The national president of the BJP OBC Morcha, Dr K Laxman, accused the Congress and BRS of putting on a show after the BJP announced their decision to make a BC the next CM of Telangana. Dr Laxman criticized the Congress BC declaration, calling it empty and just a rehash of old ideas.

Dr. Laxman pointed out that the Congress has kept BCs away from power, while PM Modi has given BCs their rightful place in the party. He questioned why the Congress and BRS have not announced a BC CM if they truly support BC representation.

Dr. Laxman also brought up the lack of BC representation in previous CMs, asking why capable BC leaders were not given the opportunity. He accused the Congress of killing the traditional occupations of BCs and criticized both parties for not making important surveys public.
