    Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh announced the opening of the first-ever “Science Experience Centre” in Hyderabad. The centre aims to support PM Modi’s vision of ‘Vikasit Bharat’ by inspiring young minds and potential start-ups.

    The Science Experience Centre, along with an exclusive “Biofuel Centre,” was inaugurated on the premises of CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) by Dr. Singh and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. The centre was established by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), under the Union Ministry of Culture.

    Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of science in the country’s progress and highlighted the collaboration between CSIR and NCSM to promote science as a culture. He mentioned some significant contributions of CSIR in the past decade, such as developing indigenous aircraft, bio-jet fuel, and earthquake-resistant structures.

    Dr. Jitendra Singh shared CSIR’s vision for 2030, focusing on enhancing citizens’ quality of life through innovative research and capacity building for an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. He also mentioned the government’s vision for the next 25 years, aiming to celebrate Bharat’s 100th year of independence in 2047.

    Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy expressed his excitement about the Science Experience Centre’s role in Telangana and its benefits for young people. He highlighted other initiatives in promoting science and culture, such as the ‘Mobile Science Exhibition’ and efforts to make research more useful for the country through the ‘New Education Policy Act.’
