    Hyderabad: Canine Team Steals the Show at ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu’

    A thrilling display of skills by police dogs captivated the audience during the ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu’ event held on Friday at the HMDA Grounds on NTR Marg. Among the highlights was a catwalk performed by Maya, a police dog, which brought laughter and applause from the crowd, including the dignitaries on stage.

    Adding to the excitement, German shepherd Rocky showcased his expertise in detecting explosives. He successfully identified a bag containing explosives, impressing the audience with his sharp abilities.

    The canine team also demonstrated remarkable obedience skills. Maya, Rocky, and labrador retriever Shyam participated in a drill where they refused food offered by strangers, accepting it only from their trainer. This act of discipline earned hearty applause from the crowd.

    Another labrador retriever, Max, from the CCS unit, exhibited his talent by sniffing out a bag of ganja hidden among a group of people. Meanwhile, Lucy, another canine, was seen vigilantly guarding her master’s bag, refusing to let anyone approach it. The combined performances of the police dogs left the audience thoroughly entertained.

    Earlier in the event, the black cat commandos of the Octopus team demonstrated their crisis rescue operations. Known for their excellence, the Octopus team has consistently ranked among the top three in the Union Home Ministry’s evaluations for the past few years. To add to the vibrant atmosphere, the police band performed, adding music to the day’s celebrations.

    The event was a resounding success, with both the canine team and the Octopus commandos showcasing the dedication and capabilities of law enforcement personnel.
