D K Aruna, the elected MP of Palamuru (Mahbubnagar), held an awareness conference on Wednesday to discuss the implementation of Central government schemes. The event took place at the Zilla Parishad (ZP) meeting hall and was attended by MLA Yennam, district officials, scheme beneficiaries, and the general public.
The conference focused on several government welfare schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME), Vishwakarma Yojana, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), and support for sheep and goat rearing under NREGS. Other topics included incentives for dairy farms and fisheries, textile and tribal welfare programs, as well as guidelines for implementing PMFME and Vishwakarma Yojana.
During the session, officials provided detailed information on how to apply for these schemes and explained the steps involved in their implementation within the parliamentary constituency.
One major topic discussed was the challenges faced by beneficiaries at the grassroots level. Several concerns were raised, such as difficulties in obtaining loans due to banking restrictions, delays in the application process, and problems in executing these schemes on the ground.
MP Aruna thoroughly reviewed these issues and ensured that district officials and bank representatives addressed them. She expressed dissatisfaction over banking restrictions and urged officials to make sure all eligible beneficiaries receive loans without unnecessary obstacles. She also called for changes in urban land ownership requirements for sheep-rearing beneficiaries so that more rural individuals could benefit.
She emphasized that Palamuru should become a model district for effectively implementing Central government schemes. Officials were instructed to spread awareness among the public to encourage maximum participation. She also stressed the need to support caste-based professions through these schemes.
Highlighting the Vishwakarma Yojana, MP Aruna mentioned that it provides training in 18 different trades, creating job opportunities for skilled workers. She directed officials to educate the public about these opportunities and train young individuals in market-relevant skills. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of ensuring that trained individuals receive loans to start their businesses.
Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, she stated that every middle-class citizen should achieve financial progress through self-employment and government support. She urged officials to ensure that Palamuru becomes a model district in implementing Central schemes effectively.
MP Aruna instructed officials to make sure that every eligible beneficiary receives government support. She emphasized that the impact of these schemes should reach the grassroots level and that people should be educated about self-employment opportunities that align with market demands. Her proactive approach to governance aimed to set a new standard for policy implementation and public engagement in Palamuru.
