The State Government of Telangana has announced a Diwali gift for the poorer sections of society and government employees. As part of this, nearly 3,500 Indiramma houses will be sanctioned in each assembly constituency. Additionally, government employees will receive a hike in dearness allowance (DA).

During a recent cabinet meeting, the issue of Indiramma housing was discussed, and it was decided that the houses will be allocated to beneficiaries through Grama Sabhas. Information and Public Relations Minister, P Srinivas Reddy, informed the press that due to financial constraints, the cabinet has approved the release of a single DA increase. He also mentioned that issues related to Government Orders (GO) 317 and GO 46, which concern employee matters, will be resolved soon.

Additionally, the cabinet approved a proposal to construct roads under the Panchayat Raj and Roads and Buildings wing through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. This project is estimated to cost Rs 28,000 crore. Lastly, the cabinet announced that the BC (Backward Classes) census will be completed by November 30, and steps are being taken to speed up the process.
