Nizamabad: District Judge Sunitha inaugurated a new community mediation centre at the old DEO office in Khalilwadi, Nizamabad, on Tuesday. During the event, she emphasized the importance of these centres in resolving minor disputes quickly.
In the past, village elders would handle small issues locally. However, people now tend to go to police stations or courts, which causes delays and often leads to stress within families.
The goal of community mediation centres is to offer faster solutions to disputes. These centres provide a space where people can come together and settle their disagreements in a simple way.
Currently, there are four centres in the district. They are located in Bodhan, Armoor, the DLSS office, and the newly opened centre at the old DEO office.
At these centres, mediators will call both parties involved in a dispute, discuss the matter, and try to resolve it immediately. The decisions made at these centres are final and must be followed.
People are encouraged to visit the nearest centre to solve their issues quickly. The inauguration event was attended by Senior Civil Judge Srikanth Babu, Court Superintendent Purushotham Goud, and other officials.
