    District Collector Inspects Midday Meal Program at Gadwal School

    On Friday, District Collector B.M. Santosh made a surprise visit to the Telangana Minorities Residential Girls School in Gadwal. The purpose of the visit was to check the quality and implementation of the midday meal program. During the inspection, he sat down with the students and shared a meal to personally assess the food quality.

    The Collector carefully examined the meals being served, along with the kitchen equipment and storage areas. He checked the quality of key ingredients like rice, eggs, vegetables, and pulses. He also reviewed whether the food was being prepared according to the set menu and questioned the kitchen staff about the day’s offerings. He stressed the importance of strictly following the prescribed menu and using only fresh, high-quality ingredients.

    The Collector emphasized the need for cleanliness in the kitchen and utensils. He instructed staff not to accept any substandard food items from suppliers, such as low-quality rice or vegetables. To ensure consistent quality, he urged the mess committee to inspect the food daily. He also reminded teachers and cooking staff to be diligent and avoid any negligence in meal preparation.

    During his visit, the Collector interacted with students to get their feedback on the meals. He asked if the food matched the prescribed menu and listened to their experiences.

    Several officials accompanied the Collector on this inspection, including ZP CEO Kanthamma, District Veterinary Officer Venkateshwarlu, Principal Bhavani, and other teachers. Their presence highlighted the importance of providing nutritious meals to students in a clean and well-maintained environment.
