Santhi Kumari held a teleconference with senior officials and Collectors from several districts to discuss the situation.

She informed the officials about the red and orange alerts issued by the IMD, indicating a threat of heavy rainfall. She emphasized the importance of preventing loss of human life and minimizing damage to property. The revenue, police, irrigation, panchayat raj, electricity, and R&B departments were urged to work together and take preventive measures. The irrigation officials were particularly reminded to be on high alert for breaches in irrigation tanks and to have sand bags ready.
