Collector Ensures Smooth Conduct of SSC Exams in Gadwal
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has instructed officials to conduct the 10th-grade SSC examinations smoothly and without any errors. On Friday, he visited the Government Girls’ High School and Government Boys’ High School examination centers in Gadwal to review the exam process and student attendance.
During his inspection, the Collector examined question paper records and discussed the exam procedures with officials. He also checked the availability of medical camps, basic amenities, and infrastructure at the exam centers. He emphasized the need for continuous power supply, proper ventilation, good lighting, and sufficient drinking water. Considering the summer heat, he directed officials to keep ORS packets and emergency medicines ready to assist students in case of health issues.
Additionally, the Collector reminded officials that electronic devices, including mobile phones, are strictly prohibited in exam centers. He instructed them to prevent any malpractice and maintain a fair and disciplined examination environment.
99.58% Attendance on the First Day
The Collector reported that out of 7,597 registered students, 7,565 attended the first day of exams, marking an impressive attendance rate of 99.58%. However, 32 students were absent.
Special Attention for Visually Impaired Students
In a step towards inclusive education, the Collector also reviewed the exam arrangements for visually impaired students. He assessed the support provided by scribes and checked if basic facilities were accessible to them. He instructed officials to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made so that every student, regardless of physical challenges, can take the exam comfortably.
This proactive inspection highlights the district administration’s commitment to conducting smooth, fair, and transparent examinations while ensuring that all students, including those with special needs, receive adequate support.
