    Gadwal: District Collector Calls for Coordinated Efforts in Gattu Mandal

    The District Collector of Jogulamba Gadwal, B.M. Santosh, has urged officials to work together to improve healthcare, education, agriculture, and related sectors in Gattu Mandal. This directive was given during a review meeting held on Thursday at the conference hall of the Collectorate.

    The meeting focused on assessing the progress of 39 indicators under the Aspirational Block Program and six indicators under the Sampoorna Abhyanath Program, both of which relate to the development of Gattu Mandal. Officials from various departments provided updates on their work and discussed areas requiring immediate attention.

    During the session, the Collector reviewed the performance of key departments such as Health and Medical, Education, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Welfare, Groundwater, and Rural Development. He noted that progress in some sectors was lagging and asked officials to take prompt action to address these issues. He emphasized the importance of achieving the development goals set for the region.

    The Collector also instructed departments to prepare comprehensive reports detailing progress, challenges, and required actions for each indicator. Accurate and complete data is essential, as Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, is expected to visit the district soon. Officials were reminded to ensure there are no gaps in information provided during the visit.

    To showcase the district’s achievements, the Collector directed all departments to set up stalls highlighting their progress under various programs. He asked them to prioritize areas such as healthcare for pregnant women, child nutrition, farmer assistance through soil health cards, groundwater conservation, disease screening, women’s welfare, rural development, education, and infrastructure.

    The Collector also stressed the need to avoid delays in critical activities, including medical services for pregnant women, nutrition programs for children, farmer support initiatives, and groundwater development projects. Departments were urged to work collectively and efficiently to meet the targets under the outlined indicators.

    Additional Collector Narsing Rao and other district officials were also present at the meeting, contributing to the discussions on how to accelerate the region’s development.
