Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santosh stressed the importance of providing students with nutritious meals as per government guidelines. During his visit to the KT Doddi MJP TBCWREIS Boys’ School in Marlabidu village, he spent the night with the students and participated in their daily routine. In the morning, he joined them for a nutritional drink (Boost), as per the day’s menu.
During his visit, the Collector interacted with the students and inspected classrooms, registers, hostel surroundings, and whether the menu was being followed properly. He spoke to the students about the importance of discipline, hard work, and self-confidence in achieving success. He encouraged them to not just study but to understand how their knowledge can be applied in real life.
For 10th and Intermediate students, the Collector advised practicing logical thinking, revising lessons regularly, and using model papers to prepare for exams. He also stressed the importance of using morning and night study hours effectively to improve academic performance.
Apart from academics, he highlighted the need for physical fitness and encouraged students to exercise daily. He advised them to make the most of the opportunities provided by the government to build a better future.
During his inspection, the Collector found lapses in food quality supervision. As a result, he issued show-cause notices to the hostel warden and principal. He also warned that action would be taken against the contractor responsible for supplying substandard food. He made it clear that students must receive nutritious meals as per government rules.
