District Collector Urges Officials to Identify Non-Agricultural Lands for Rythu Bharosa Scheme

The Collector discussed the implementation of the scheme with officials and inquired about the classification of agricultural and non-agricultural lands in each mandal. He emphasized the importance of properly identifying uncultivated lands to ensure the scheme benefits only eligible farmers.

To streamline the process, the Collector asked officials to conduct thorough field inspections. Lands such as tanks, poultry farms, and other non-agricultural properties must also be excluded from the scheme. Village maps and cadastral maps should be used to accurately identify such lands.

The Collector further directed officials to document proceedings for lands converted under NALA and ensure lands acquired for other purposes have proper file numbers. Additionally, lands with Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applications or layouts should be classified as non-agricultural. Field visits are crucial to verify lands with rocky or barren conditions, and these findings should be presented during village meetings scheduled from January 21 to 24.

The welfare schemes are set to be implemented soon, and the Collector urged all mandal-level officials to work diligently to ensure transparency and fairness in the process.

The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, RDO Srinivas Rao, District Agriculture Officer Sakriya Naik, ADA Sangeeta Lakshmi, tehsildars, mandal agriculture officers, and other concerned officials.
