    Gadwal: Dr. Priyanka, the District Employment Officer and Special Officer for Gattu Mandal, is leading efforts to reduce student absenteeism and child labor in the region.

    On Saturday, following the orders of the District Collector, special teams were formed to address the growing issue of children dropping out of school and working in cotton seed fields. This problem has been particularly noticed in the Gattu and KT Doddi mandals. The teams, led by Dr. Priyanka, visited cotton fields near ZPHS Alur to encourage parents to send their children back to school.

    A Parents-Teachers meeting was also held at ZPHS Alur, where officials, including the District Employment Officer, the Tahsildar, MPDO, MEO, and others, participated. During this meeting, they provided guidance on how education can shape the future of the children. They also organized motivation sessions for both parents and students. To further promote school attendance, officials shared a meal with the students.

    Among those who attended the event were Tahsildar Saritha Rani, MPDO Chennayya, MEO Narasimha, GHM Nagaraju, NITI Aayog Coordinator Afzal, and a DWO Supervisor.

    In KT Doddi mandal, at ZPHS Kondapur, 21 students who had dropped out were identified and encouraged to return to school. This effort was led by MEO G. Suresh.

    District Coordinator Hampayya, MNO Venkateshwar Rao, MPHS HM Muralidhar, teachers, and members of the MV Foundation also participated in the initiative to bring students back to school.
