District Collector Directs Millers to Provide 40 Metric Tons of Rice Daily to FCI for the Next 20 Days

Wanaparthy District: On Thursday, a meeting was held to review the delivery of rice in the Collector’s Chamber. Officials from the Civil Supplies Department and rice millers attended the meeting to discuss how much grain has been sent to the rice mills so far and how much is still pending.

It was noted that a significant amount of grain from the district still needs to be delivered to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and the Civil Supplies Department. To speed up the process, it was decided that rice should be delivered at a rate of 40 metric tons per day over the next 20 days.

Out of this, 15 metric tons of rice will be handled by the Civil Supply Officer, while the remaining 25 metric tons will be the responsibility of three other officials in the district.

The officials also mentioned that mills producing high-quality rice will receive incentives, while those failing to meet expectations will be blacklisted.

Regardless of holidays, the target of delivering 40 metric tons of rice per day to the FCI must be maintained.

Additional Collector Revenue M. Nagesh, District Civil Supply Officer Vishwanath, and other key officials like D.M. Sheikh Irfan, D.T.s, and Tehsildar Madan Mohan were present at the meeting.
