    Wanaparthy: Authorities Review Land Acquisition for Irrigation Projects

    On Thursday, Additional Collector Revenue Venkateshwarlu held a review meeting with officials from the Irrigation and Revenue departments. The meeting, conducted at the conference hall of the Collectorate, focused on the progress of land acquisition for the KLI and Bima Lift Irrigation projects.

    For the KLI project, officials highlighted the need to survey 94 acres of land in the Ganapuram Branch Canal area of Ganapuram mandal. It was decided that land acquisition for this area must begin immediately. Additionally, 197 acres of land related to the Ganapuram Samudra Reservoir also need to be surveyed, and acquisition efforts should be accelerated.

    Discussions were also deemed necessary with the Forest Department regarding land acquisition for the Karne Thanda Lift Irrigation. Irrigation officials were instructed to collaborate closely with Revenue officials and conduct field-level reviews to speed up the land acquisition process.

    As part of the Bima Lift Irrigation project, officials emphasized the need to compensate and relocate the Khanaipalli R&R village promptly. This step is crucial to ensure that the Shankar Samudra reservoir is completely filled.

    The meeting was attended by several key officials, including Irrigation SE Srinivas Reddy, RDO Subrahmanyam, DE Narender Reddy, AD Sarve Balakrishna, Tahsildars, and other department representatives. The discussions aimed to ensure better coordination and faster implementation of the projects.
